CV Jointdcx96 04-07-2007, 10:58 AM Ok I'm changing my cv j on a 99 jgc 4X4 W QUADRA DRIVE AND VARILOK AXLES I HAVE EVERYTHING OFF THE ROTOR THE CALIPER THE CALIPER SUPPORT, THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE HUB ON BUT I CANNOT GET THE CENTER NUT OFF WHEN I PUT THE WRENCH ON IT IT SPINS WITH RESISTANCE WHATS THE CORRECT WAY TO GET OFF SHOULD I USE AIR OR ARE THE GEARS IN THE PIG STRIPPED? dksob81 04-07-2007, 03:37 PM your prolly spinning the entire axle shaft. The correct way would be to use a 1 -7/16" socket and put the wheel on, lower the jeep to the ground and then break it loose using an impact gun or breaker bar, this bolt is very tight close to 200 ft/lbs. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
