i am getting ready to replace the spark plugs in my 2002 grand am 2.2 ecto-tech and haven't been able to locate them yet. could they be under the black section of the valve cover? don't want to turm any more bolts on engine than needed. any ideas where they are as i haven't been able to locate them yet.

Yes they are under the center cover on the motor.
