Installed my system.zykotik 09-09-2001, 02:12 AM Woohoo...finally installed my system. Got the harness 18$ CDN, antenna adaptor 18$ cdn. Sounds really good, got the kenwood deck using stock speakers and amps, plugged in my 600 watt kenwood amp driving 2 12's I like...theonly thing that gets me is it seems my subs aren't pounding as much as they could..and the amp heats up a great deal. greekman 09-09-2001, 05:02 AM what kind of kenwood deck did you get? i was thinking about a kdcx817 or 717. do you like it. how much did you pay? also is your amp excelon or reg kenwood? zykotik 09-09-2001, 11:05 AM It's my good ol deck I used to use in my teg KRC 302, wiht my reg. 600w kenwood amp. :) endfro 09-10-2001, 02:27 PM Greekman, Ive got a custom built 817 Kenwood, and I am absolutely in love with it! redvalkrie 09-10-2001, 04:32 PM What kind of install kit did you use for your deck, since the P11 come with a double din how & what adapter did you use for the single deck. Also did you use a pocket or did you put an eq under your deck? zykotik 09-10-2001, 05:33 PM I simply bought a harness and antenna adaptor from a local shop and installed it no EQ. redvalkrie 09-10-2001, 06:48 PM Yes I know about the wiring harness & the antena adaptor. But an install kit for the radio itself. I was told try the pathfinder kit well I had a pathfinder & it didnt fit I tried the brackets they didnt fit either. So what I want to know is the adapter to hold the radio in the hole. Any One? zykotik 09-10-2001, 08:40 PM Well I used the brackets that were on the clarion (OEM) head. They were too pieces of metal with 8mm screws they fit on the Kenwood and fit in the console. Swonder67 09-10-2001, 09:09 PM Redval, Zykotik has a P10, with a single DIN slot. Not the P11 with the double DIN zykotik 09-10-2001, 10:09 PM Oops I guess I should've mentioned it was a P10 right? Sorry :) greekman 09-11-2001, 12:54 AM endfro-what do you mean by a custom built 817? i was also considering buying a 815 or 915 on ebay b/c you can find them pretty cheap, but they're used. so i don't know, but i do need to buy a deck soon as my old jvc is horrible. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
