97 JGCL wont start

My 1997 JGCL wont start it will only run when the gas pedal is pushed, soon as you let off of it it dies. Any ideas.

I moved you from JXJ forum to the JGC forum.

You might check the TPS (throttle position sensor).

Check the TPS, but it could also be bad fuel pressure from the fuel pump. check the fuel filter for any kind of clog. but if it dies right away it could also be your idle/air control valve.
