95 grand am 2.3L fuel pump replacement gmack221 04-04-2007, 10:14 AM
As stated in the title I have a 95 grand am 2.3L DOHC, and im starting to think maybe the fuel pump is going out of it. So my question is do I have to drop the tank to get to the pump or did gm put a removable pannel in the car to get to it? If they did where is it located & what do I need to do to get to it (remove the back seat ... where they hide the screws ect ..). Thanks for any help you can give on the subject, and yes I did try looking under the tips/maintence section first, if I missed it please give me a link (coming along well xero ...). xeroinfinity 04-04-2007, 10:52 AM I havent done to many R&R's on older GAs because you can get most of that through other means. You do have to drop the tank though. GP's have an access door under the back seat, but no GA's do. :( Try this link (http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/58/b9/0900823d800e58b9.jsp)it should help. Fuel pump prcedures on the top right. gmack221 04-04-2007, 12:22 PM Thanks, didn't even think to look there ... well atleast it runs most of the time so I don't have to drain a whole tank of gas. Atleast I will get a chance to clean out the tank since I will have it out. thanks again xero ... Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
