I have a 95 Windstar, a tiny bit of transmission history part of the VSS was changed two days later we lost our speedodmeter and our mileage readout, when going from park to either reverse or drive you would hear a loud thump, while we were at least 100 miles from home the transmission made a loud winding noise then poof no gears at all reverse and all the drives were instantly gone:banghead: . The fluids were all normal, The flex plate isnt broken, the only thing we noticed is that when the trannie pan was dropped to change the fluid and the filter was dropped there was no fluid in the filter. Is this a trannie in need of a rebuild or what??
