Clutch Fan To LS1 FansBrowning151 03-21-2007, 12:09 AM I have an 02 2500 HD w/the 6.0. Can I use the LS1 fans being an HD? and what all will I need as far as mounting and wiring for them to cycle on and off at the right temp. Thanks BlenderWizard 03-21-2007, 09:22 PM How wide is your radiator? Browning151 03-21-2007, 11:06 PM How wide is your radiator? The fan shroud at the radiator is about 34" BlenderWizard 03-22-2007, 07:27 PM the LS1 fans work best with the 28" radiator... sounds like you need a set of 05 tahoe fans. Browning151 03-22-2007, 07:35 PM I see you're in smyrna, know any good salvage yards around metro atl I might find some in? I only know of Smallwoods, at 285 and bankhead. Oh, man, that place is a f'n joke. You should call G & R auto parts http://www.gandrautoparts.com/ I got my alternator there; they have excellent stuff Browning151 03-23-2007, 11:14 PM Thanks for the info, looks like a great place, I plan on getting all the parts together in the next few weeks....any tips on the install speaking from experience? Have you ever tried any of the pull-a-part yards around atl? Have you ever tried any of the pull-a-part yards around atl? There was one down in Fayetteville that I used to frequent, but that was 10 years ago, when I was fixing up a 78 C10. If you are going to install fans, I'd get a www.nelsonperformance.com wiring harness, and either get one of theirs or maybe a wheatley tune. Nelson tunes have gotten pretty ridiculous as far as pricing, though. Either way, once you get the components, someone has to activate the fans in the PCM. Browning151 03-25-2007, 12:35 AM I appreciate the tips. Thanks! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
