Never sees anything over 4,500 here. Still working on breaking in that clutch.
Glad the weather is getting nice again.

I love that sound....if I couldn't get pulled over that's the way I'd have mine.

Make you want a cam???

Thanks for the compliments.
Not sure why it wouldn't work. Maybe try saving it?

Makes me hate you even more...j/k.

Why is it that running open headers accentuates the 'lumpy' sound of a cam? Reason I ask, is your car sounds slightly different between the cutouts open and close as far as cam idle. And when I ran my open headers with stock cam, it actually sounded like I had a cam with the way it idled.

Just the location of the dumps.
The lope is roughly the same, but with the dumps being that much louder, it sounds accentuated.

I got some cold start-up footage today. I just need to compress it.
Baby has been keeping me busy though. Planning on updating the current clip.

Editted the original post...

Updated the clips.

Open cutouts and capped cutouts now. Both start ups are cold. Last clip is 2nd gear 25-70MPH.

Sounds great!!!
What type cutouts did you use and where did you locate them?
I have an old castiron, cable operated set I ran for a while on my truck but didn't like them. They were directly behind the headers.

For this motor I located them off the headers. Most vehicles will just be loud and down on power with them there though. Mine picked up 15 RWHP...fully built stroker can use them.

They are QTP stainless pieces. Manual cap.
