i'm hoping someone can help me, i bought a non running GC with the 5.2L. i was told some one tried to disable the factory alarm and it wouldn't start after wards :nono: .It turns over fine but i get not fuel pressure(but fuel pump works) , i get no spark, and no check engine light, i replace the ignition switch (hoping for a cheap fix). i have an idea it's the pcm or ecu whatever you wanna call it.
any help or sugestions would really help :banghead:

Wish I could help you but I also just baught, actually I was given a 1993 GC and I had to make it run. Check out my "mater head cylinder" post. Im slowly getting there. I wish I could help you, but Im getting to know JGC myself. Best of luck, the guys in here are great and should have something for you in no time.

i' thought i would get away cheap(not as cheap as you though :smokin: )
i think it;ll be under $2000 ca if i have to switch out the computer

i havn't managed to get the alarm in diagnostic mode either
if i turn the key on the abs and the airbag lights up but nothing else if i leave the key in the on position for a while then the security will light up

A new ECU shouldn't cost more than $250-350 US. A dealer should be able to tell you if that is the problem. Any regular shop should be able to install the ECU. I don't think it's that big of a job.
