I have a 98 Passport and need the t-belt and water pump changed. Car has 133k and it's never been done. What is the going rate for this service? Or what did you pay?

350-500
350 for the belt and the tensor.

500 including the water pump.

do it once and be done with it.

What did I pay -

well, mine included other maintenance issues; waterpump, timing belt, timing belt tensioner which *must* be included on these engines, timing belt tensioner adjuster, idler pulley, crankshaft/camshaft seals, all coolant system hoses, coolant flush = $1103.

But WELL worth it - nearly all my hoses at 150k miles were shot, there wasn't one that would've made it another year.
