Light indicating the gear the car is in?jerry1967 03-14-2007, 08:25 PM This light that indicates what gear the car is in is burned out I guess. How do I get to it or fix it? (2001 regal) the light is the one on the dash board. BNaylor 03-15-2007, 01:25 PM Your mean the PRND321 LED indicator. Not good news. :grinno: There is a lamp driver module in the IP cluster that can go bad. Problem is you normally have to replace the complete IP. However, there is a company that will repair them named Southern Electronics. The IP must be removed and sent to them. If you get a new IP then the odometer settings will be off or at zero so it will need to be programmed. retrohwam 03-15-2007, 02:50 PM Jerry, Is your odometer out also? I thought the module controled both. My daughter has the same auto and both LED's are out. I'm considering getting one on e-bay and swapping out the instrument cluster. jerry1967 03-16-2007, 01:50 AM the only light that is out is the one indicating what gear the car is in. It is the one on the dash. The odometer is working just fine. BNaylor 03-16-2007, 11:51 AM I recall the same module supplies the shift and odometer LEDs but the outputs feeding them are separate. So you can have a combination of problems. IMO still points to a flaky IP. jerry1967 03-18-2007, 02:27 PM what is a IP? BNaylor 03-18-2007, 02:37 PM what is a IP? Instrument Panel meaning the complete cluster with all the gauges and warning lamps. jerry1967 03-18-2007, 02:51 PM Instrument Panel meaning the complete cluster with all the gauges and warning lamps. thank you- now can you tell me what fuse box takes care of the instrument panel? The one in the car or the one under the hood? BNaylor 03-18-2007, 02:58 PM The relevant fuses will be at the fuse box located at the right hand side of the dash. jerry1967 03-18-2007, 03:00 PM The relevant fuses will be at the fuse box located at the right hand side of the dash. thank you vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
