The way the rear window washer is designed, it squirts liquid in a very poor pattern which results in most of the window area remaining dirty. Has anyone figured out how to improve the situation?

What I have done in the past on my Ventures and now also do on my Uplander is to hit the spray button when you start the rear wiper. This puts the solvent on pretty much one side of the wiper blade depending on your timing. I then hit it again, making sure I get a majority of the second attempt on the other side of the wiper's pass. By doing it this way, the wiper "catches" a majority of the solvent and wipes it on the remaining glass surface. Depending on how dirty the rear glass is, I may have to do it a few extra times to ensure I've got most of the glass cleaned. Also, the job is easier when the wiper blade is in good shape. I've seen a lot of neglected rear wiper blades out there on vehicles coming apart, or ripped, and they cannot clean as well when they are in that condition.

your right the sprayer is a POS. i though if i get time i would try a inline boster pump wired in to the rear washer switch to see if this would help. also may have to get a spray tip from some other car/van. this is on my 2002 olds van.
