2005 2.5rs needs more power!Timeelement 03-11-2007, 05:51 PM What can i do? Just need more of a kick! LjasonL 03-11-2007, 11:05 PM Intake, exhaust, cams RightWingZionist 03-20-2007, 11:58 PM Intake, exhaust, cams Reading the faq; it says intakes dont do much for subies especially if they are not turbo. It also says if you get it with an exhaust atleast you need to tune it to get anything noticeable from it. What about an under pulley? Is it hard to install and will it void warranty or harm the harmonics of the engine? Edit: Dude I just noticed you posted the faq yourself lol. P.S What about a short ram and tuning the chip so it wont get dangerously lean as it stated there? freakray 03-21-2007, 07:59 AM Reading the faq; it says intakes dont do much for subies especially if they are not turbo. You need to understand intakes more to understand why an intake alone isn't recommended as a 'power mod'. Intakes increase the amount of air and engine can 'take in' but if you still have the stock exhaust on the car, you gain no benefit. Before addressing how the engine breathes in, you should address how well it exhales, a larger diameter exhaust with less impedance to air flow will give greater gain. As to remapping with a new exhaust, it's not entirely necessary. I haven't remapped and I have a Genome setup on my car, I just don't get the same power gain as if I did remap. Nice thing is, at any point, I can switch back to the stock exhaust and get through any state's emissions :naughty: jg09 03-21-2007, 03:51 PM I say just get an STi motor...but that's just me. :) RightWingZionist 03-21-2007, 07:04 PM What about the under pulley, recommended install or will it harm bearings? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
