Hi Folks,
I have an espace as detailed above that has developed a rather scary knocking sound when the driver's door is opened. It actually quite loudly 'pops' when the door is opened and is caused by the retainer that prevents the door from swinging too far open. This appears to be catching somehow. However, I've taken it out a couple of times but can't see why it makes this noise....

It doesn't appear to be doing any damage, but sounds dead rough !!:banghead:

Anyone had anything similar ?

Any ideas ?

Normally the little retainer that you have mentioned is called a "Check Strap", and they become warn over time and make the poping sound, my Espase 2.0 RXE makes the same noise on the Drivers door. this is a way to tell you that the Check Strap needs replacing.
