I have a 1999 Dakota 5.2L 318 Automatic 4x4.

My problem is when I'm accelerating my truck will act like it goes into neutral then go right back into gear, all that in a matter of a second. It's like the truck is wanting to shutoff it feels like. I know it's not my tranny cause I just had that rebuilt about 6 months ago and I have had NO problems with that. I also knows what a failing tranny feels like :) It's just not acting like it's the tranny either. It won't jerk, clank, grind, or anything like that when it does it.

Then sometimes it will just die. It gives me absolutly NO warning at all that it is going to die. I have no time to keep it alive. It's like you just shut the key off, instant off. Then I have to take the key out and wait like 10-20sec then it will start back up.

I can be goin any speed and it will do it. Any weather also. It happens whenever it wants to do it, very random. Some people say it may be the whole computer thingy?

Thanks....:)
