I need help identifying my transmission and want to knmow if you have any advice or experience with any particular transmission rebuild kit supplier. It loks like they run from $60 to around $200.
I have an 1986 Dodge B350 with a 5.9 L motor. I am pretty sure it has the A737 three speed automatic. I would like to know for sure. Also some the rebuild kits are torque converter lock up specific. How do I know if I have a lock up torque converter? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Replace the torque converter too and get one that is painted blue. You do not want to do this twice. The 727 is a very simple transmission to rebuild and the easiest ones to rebuild. The rebuild kits from the transmission parts places are best ones,D&E is one place but they are based in Michigan and Ohio.
