Hey everyone, These forums have been a big help to me so far. A buddy of mine has a '55 thunderbird in his yard that will probably be crushed, I can get it for dirt cheap. He says that its a solid body and the convertable top is in good condition. I'm gonna go by later and see the car. Would anyone be able to help me with an approximate value?? I'll try to take a few pics and post them here.
Thanks,Mike

Check for selling prices on Ebay or Hemming's Motor News. You can Google 55 Tbird, 55 Thunderbird, etc to find other sites that can be of help to you. If it's just going to be crushed then call a salvage yard and ask how much it's worth for scrap iron and offer that. That way your buddy won't have to pay to have it taken to the crusher. If you decide you don't want it- let me know!

DID YOU BUY? OR LET SLIDE SO YOU COULD KICK YOURSELF LATER.. Value is of course according to condition car in when you sell but 30 to 40s for one running and in reasonable good shape not far off mark 50 is reserved for cars restored. Grand National winner sold by friend for 50s price tag reciently I own restored 1966 t bird conv smaller ones Great looking, Fun to Drive but cramped BUT A GREAT INVESTMENT
