I feel as if my '06 WRX has been accelerating slower than when I got it. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just due to the fact that I am used to the excelaration, and it now feels normal? It has recently been in for a check up, and is in good working order.

You're just getting used to it. I'm guessing you're car before the WRX wasn't AWD or turbo charged. The initial shock of how fast those things accelerate will wear off soon. My friend was like that with his Mitsubishi EVO. If you want to get the same high, you just gotta use more now!
