2003 grand am rocker arm bolts

anyone have issues with 2003 v6 rocker arm bolts? Just spent 1800 having rocker arm bolts replaced 65k miles - bolts stripped right out -

Welcome to AF.

The only way these should get striped out is if someone over tightend them when doing engine work like replacing the LIM gaskets.

But these heads are aluminum so they do strip out easy.

And btw-$1800 for rocker arm repair, you got screwd!
You can buy remanufactured heads for around $300 w/trade in on your old ones :shakehead

I guess if you got new heads and the cost of labor to remove/install then $1800 might not be a real bad screwing :lol:
