We have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has developed a strong musty/dampish odour. We have checked the headliner, the carpets etc. for signs of water leakage but have not found any. We have sprayed the A/C evapourator with the recommended cleaner in case there was any bacteria or mold build up on the evaporator core but it does not seem to be coming from that area. Any suggestions as to where else to look for moisture damage? Thanks

check the floorboards around the heater outlets, sometime the heater core can leak and it can come out there.

Hey guys,

I kind of have the same problem, but didnt want to start a whole new thread, so hope you don't mind me posting in this one :). I just recently bought a used car, with leather interior. Since it's been raining alot in the bay area lately.....everytime i open my door, a lot of water gets on my seats. Now whenever I get into my car there is this really really bad odor. It smells like old garbage or rotting milk....yuck. I was wondering is there anything I can do to get the smell out? I don't want to cover up the smell.....I want to find a way to fully clean it and get it out for good. Thanks!
