2000 buick accelerate problem

Hi:

When there is uphill, the speed of car will go down(for instance, 100 -> 90).
Then I push the gas, the car does not accelerate.
I can feel the car shaking (back-forth).
So I have to release the gas, then push, it will work well.

I checked with my friend. He told me it's normal and because the transmission is getting old now.

My car has 140000 KM now.

Any suggestions? Sell it or continue driving?

Thx

It is not normal and your mileage isn't that bad to be assuming it is the transmission.

When was the last basic tune up? Spark plugs, ignition wires, fuel filter, etc.? Also last transmission service replacing ATF and screen filter?

I just changed the transmission oil and filter last month: It helps but the problem still there.
I didn't do the tune up because I just own it for one year.

BTW, I drove about 35000 KM in the passed year. Maybe this is the problem. :shakehead

You still didn't say how long on the plugs and wires? You own it for one year, but what does that have to do with the tune up interval.

Thanks!
I guess that the plug and wire are not changed yet. If this is the problem, I will do the tune up. :screwy:
