1999 Ford Mustang Conv. HELP!HelpMePlease! 10-04-2002, 03:05 PM I have a 1999 ford mustang conv. Yesterday, the rear window separated from the vinyl top. I called around and found out that my entire window has to be replaced, but one man mentioned that there is a way to temporarily repair it with sealant to hold me over until I gather the money to buy a new window ($500!!!)....any idea what kind of sealant to buy or how to do it?!? fordman123 10-05-2002, 07:50 AM He is probably referring to black silicone sealant. It is the same thing used by some manufacturers for oil pan gaskets, and used by every domestic manufacturer for rear differential pan gasket. Can be found at any parts store, just tell them you need some Black Silicone sealant. (Comes in a tube style and a can like a caulking gun is used for.) Good luck Fordman HelpMePlease! 10-05-2002, 01:45 PM Thank you so much! 94svt5.0 10-05-2002, 06:08 PM Shouldnt that be covered under warranty?
