Bad inner axle joints

Can anyone tell me how you can tell if your inner axle joints are bad?

I have a 2000 buick century, 3.1L. I had the transmission rebuilt and had what felt like a shudder when accelerating hard from a dead stop. The transmission was rebuilt again but it is still there.

Someone else on the forum said it happened to them and it was the inner axle joint.

With the problems that I have had with cv joints, they click, but I have driven them to the point of destruction, twice. But I think if its time to replace one you should replace both. when I orriginally replaced one (before they went out - destroyed) I only did one, then the other a month or two later. I wouldnt suggest duralast rebuilds either. i have replaced both sides twice with those things, and soon a third if they dont last me much longer.

Yup, I agree. I've had to replace both recently after they started shuddering under a hard load.

Do the inner CV's click too? Anytime I've heard clicking it's been the outer CV's. I'm not getting any clicking right now but maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet when the weather breaks.

I didn't find out which ones were. I just know they were. Im sure both sides can click though.
