I had an old 76 Pontiac Sunbird that blew the gasket right in between the third and fourth cylinders and I thought for sure I had a carburetor problem for like a week. The car would drive just fine without even smoking or any other visual problems, but the loss of power was very evident. A friend finally decided to do a compression test and sure enough, blown head gasket. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
