Car Stalling after lengthened stop

My 95 4.6 Thunderbird stalls while taking off from being stopping awhile. Like at a drive thru or long stop-light, this is in drive only and from reverse to drive. I was thinking a idle speed motor. I replaced the plugs and made sure the gaps were same and met owners manual specs.

The IAC could probably use a good cleaning. Did you use platinum plugs when you changed them?

I used 1 contact Bosch, I told my dad to get 2 contact but the ones I used weren't platinum. I forgot to mention new fuel filter didnt help this problem.

Stay away from the Bosch +2 and +4's, they're pretty much junk. I'd venture a bet if you put new Autolite Platinums or Motorcraft Platinums you'd notice a big difference. These motors are very specific about what plugs they like, and I personally have seen them eat everything but the 2 plugs I mentioned before.

Yeah I put a set of Bosch Platinums in my 95 4.6 and, no joke, 2 month later it had a REALLY bad miss while ideling. I put in Motorcraft Platinums and the probem was gone.

Okay I pulled the recipt and they were Motorcraft but you should have seen the old ones we pulled, it was a wonder it was getting a spark. Im going to clean my MAF and IAC sensor today and see if it will work

The MAF was as clean as a whistle but my dad stripped the 2 bolts on it and denys it when he gets his cast off.

u do know that this could also be caused by bad o2 sensorsrun u about 240 for a set of 4 of them. so i would check everything else out first then go to that

Were they Motorcraft Platinums? Platinum makes a HUGE difference.
