Z34 Leaking Coolant Under AC Compressorcomet240 02-16-2007, 05:57 PM hi noticed other day i had low coolant light came on and today running car i had no heat, and no pressure, so i added coolant, but i seen it dripping out, i removed the resivour and see a fine stream coming under the AC compressor, now too dark now to look at it tonight and too cold to take off tire and plastic guard so what could it be? a crack in the engine? damaged gasket? water pump shot? and no the water pump makes no noise like its damaged this pissing me off i hate this car sometimes LOL comet240 02-16-2007, 05:58 PM oh i sorry i forget this i suposed to add in there its a 1991 Z34 comet240 02-17-2007, 12:39 AM are there any ideas yet? i frustrated jeffcoslacker 02-17-2007, 06:40 AM Water pump, bypass hose, something of that nature would be my guess. We can guess all we want, won't help you. Get a small mirror in there under the leak and see what's happening, if you can. When you say stream, you mean like a pressurized stream, or just dribbling? Hose pinholes spray, water pumps and gaskets dribble... richtazz 02-17-2007, 06:53 AM I agree with where Jeff is going. A pressuized spray would be a hose, a dribble would most likely be the water pump weep hole. If it's more toward the center of the engine (near the back of the A/C compressor), it might be a freeze plug in the block leaking. comet240 02-17-2007, 08:29 AM ah ok ill check from what i can see its just a stream like turning water tap on but a fine stream pouring, and it looks from tthe anging its pouring or peeing from near the back under the AC Compressor comet240 02-19-2007, 01:37 PM hi i never got chance to look with mirror yet but i had added heavy duty preston stope leak powder in and stuff but after doing so i now noticed the water pump pully wheel moving in nad out a bit, i guessing thats the problem the pump seal and bearing is gone? or is it suposed to move in and out a abit comet240 02-20-2007, 11:32 AM ok i guess its water pump i have clearance problem i have now is how do you get the bolts off the pump wheel when u dont have a air ratchet i having problems trying to get the 4 bolts off vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
