FICHE found... funny sound...

Ah yes... quick regard to my earlier post inquiring as to where I might find fiche on the internet for the '93 hardbody. "Not on the Internet" (not yet?) but, I HAVE located a nearby Nissan dealer with patient parts clerck willing to let me see their computer screen... (they even printed out the page for me) so... "fiche found"
Now, "funny sound".
Only when the engine is cold... there is a sound like wind coming thru the bottom left hand corner of the windshield once I start moving down the road and hit about 20 or 30 mph. I can feel no air rushing in. I ran water all over the windshield (washed the truck while I was at it) and no leak found.
Since it only happens while the engine is cold, I am wondering if what I'm hearing is engine coolant.. (or air bubbles in the coolant system) rushing thru some heater hose that runs near that portion of the firewall.
(note: In an earlier post I describe the temp. guage not seeming to get to where I think normal operating temp. should be... it rides about an inch above the C., not quite touching the temp. icon. that's less than a quarter of the way to the H.) [Side note;test drove a 2000 Frontier last week, it's temp. guage ran up to about the half way mark.] {i will be replacing the thermostat soon}
Anyone ever hear anything like this?
Thanks.

On cold start-up, my '93's radiator fan makes a pretty good racket until the fluid in the fan coupling gets slung into place ... normal.
