It seems like this super taikyu isnt very popular, maybe in japan but doesnt look interesting

Just like any other endurance motorsport. It's a bunch of guys doing laps in fixed up cars for a long time.

Looks to be stock cars from Japan racing around any given track with haripins, horseshoe and various other kinds of turns. Almost like a "Japanese NASCAR".

Its more closely related to the US Speed World Challenge, not NASCAR. For an even better analogy, Super Takiyu is not as extreme as Super GT. You can compare Super GT to Le Mans. Igor will be racing in the Super Takiyu series this coming year and probably the reasoning to why the forum was added.
