96 Dodge Neon dies after warm-upflying001 02-13-2007, 12:16 PM Hello, I have a 96 Neon that dies after the engine warms up. I despise dealerships so I was having a reputable mechanic work on it. Here is what he's replaced: 1) Spark plugs & wires 2) O2 Sensors 3) 1 Fuel injector that was showing mis-fire 4) He's tried another coil-pack 5) Replaced fuel pump 6) Replaced EGR Vavle 7) Fuel filter 8) Changed oil and checked other fluid levels 9) Replaced ECM (Not new, but was in working condition) Although each item replaced has made the car run significantly better and probably needed to be done anyway, the car still dies after warm-up. It sounds like it's missing, then dies. It restarts fine, but doesn't run much after that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. das2123 02-14-2007, 04:19 PM Usually if the car dies after it warms up, it's the fuel pump overheating. But since you replaced that already, what about the fuses and relays? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
