jesus man, 2q's - 1. did you get CORRECT pcm ? Usually for each year there's up to 4 variations.
and 2 - i HOPE you DID put your old EEPROM into new PCM ??!

1. yes im pretty sure i got the right one..........i actually ordered it over the phone from ecudirect.com.....they found the right one for me........they took my vin and the model number off my old pcm

2. i dont really know wut an eeprom is but last nite i took off the front piece to my old ecm and under it was this blue piece about th size of my finger that was detachable so i said to myself maybe thats wut the eeprom is so i switched them out....i put the old eeprom into new ecm....when i did that it fixed my new problems but all my old problems came back.......traction light went off, temp gauge was working, but it was still tripping and faulting to second gear when my engine light comes on........

if somebody can please let me know exactly wut im supposed to do with the eeprom and also if wut i took out of the computer was the right part....thx

usually, u do as you done ! use old eeprom in new pcm - eeprom holds many datas, specific to your particular car.
after you have to use Tech1/2 to reset all DTCs, trans adapts, relearn idle and tps.

GM tech 1 or Tech 2 scanner is a native scantool for 95 and up. Can be found at most gm dealerships.
Only with it you can access all scan data, reset codes, and reset adapts in the pcm/tranny.
Actually, i do remember one thread at moscow usa cars forum, with man getting constant errors, each set of errors changed with new pcm (he got 3). But it turned out to be tranny harness if i remember correctly..
keep posted and give year of car.

sorry its a 95 non autobahn with 178000 miles on it.........should i keep the old eeprom in it when i bring it to dealership?.....wut would i have to do to keep new eeprom in it and have car actually working or is that out of the question?

you are 'supposed' to use the eeprom which came with CAR. not a new one, cos new one obviously not your part number, hence you lost even gages.
but bring both just for test sake.
anyway eeprom from your CAR (not new one) is a way to go.
also, really with that mileage i'd be suspecting some wiring maybe, harnesses.

just checked - 95's may have 12 (!) different eeprom variants. And the main difference is tranny code.

ok im an idiot.....i just put the new eeprom back in to see wut it did.....now engine light is on, traction light is on and it has a horrible ride again (emphasis on rear suspension).....di di screw sumthin up or is that sumthin that can be cleared with that scanner?....also when i drive to dealership should i stick old one back in or just keep the new one in there till i get to dealership?.....i appreciate your help and sorry if im askng to many questions...u seem like u know wut u r talking about which is good......also to check wiring or harnesses is that sumthin i can do or should i have the dealership check that out while im there?

sorry mate, but i rekon with your level of knowledge i'd stick with dealer's diag.... and i'd be using old eeprom for a slow drive toward there.
