The brake pedal switch or the light switch? Do you have the automatic headlight system? If so, does the switch being in a different position make a difference? The only time I've seen anything this strange was on a 1981 Camaro that had a ground loose and current was finding alternate routes through different circuits depending on what switch was in what position. Your vehicle obviously has more variables. Focus on one issue and see what you can change by trying different things. Try pulling different fuses one at a time to see what turns the lights off, or stops the fuel pump from running with the hazards on. That way you can narrow the search. Some times, one thing you do can give away the root cause. On the camaro, it was when I pushed the cigarette lighter in at night and the dash lights came on dim while the lighter would only get luke warm. A quick look at the wiring print located the problem. If your into shotgunning parts though, I'd start with the ignition switch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
