should i buy it??nhlcrazy 02-10-2007, 06:15 PM im lookin at a 1st gen tsi and it has a bunch of engine mods but needs a lil body work... theres a dent in the passenger door right at the door jam ... and a lil rust. the rust is no problem but how much would it b to replace a door jam or could it b pulled?? guys askin 1000 but idk Shpyder 02-10-2007, 08:23 PM Well, first things first. What's the year, the mileage, the title (clear/salvaged) and the overall condition of the car. "Bunch-o-engine mods" doesnt really mean anything around here, you have to be a tad more specific than that. Built motor? Turbo? Supporting mods? Etc. steviek 02-11-2007, 01:00 AM either way a g is not bad gthompson97 02-11-2007, 03:55 PM either way a g is not bad Couldn't have said it better myself. As long as it runs decently, who cares what it looks like, it'll be a steal. Shpyder 02-11-2007, 04:00 PM You know what they say. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Just hope that engine doesnt need a rebuild right after you get the car. 2c. Thor06 02-11-2007, 04:40 PM :1: Trying to sell it for $1000 with "a bunch of engine mods" sounds like a bad idea. For example, my car. $750 and a blown head gasket. Yup, too good to be true. Just a few miles after I got it running from fixing the head gasket, the oil pump jumped off a cliff which in turn took the bearings which took the crank, block, and head with it. I would have a trusted mechanic check it out good for sure before you do anything with it. smoke121212 02-23-2007, 12:41 AM :1: Trying to sell it for $1000 with "a bunch of engine mods" sounds like a bad idea.
