Golf GTIi-is-in-da-house 02-09-2007, 06:57 PM Hey People, My latest sketch is of a Volkswagon Golf GTI. I did do some modifications to the bumper and rims. I did not yet finish the rims, and if some people can find some nice rims on the internet that I copy and draw, that would be appreciated. I think I over did myself and no matter what you people say, I still think this i my best picture. Telling me what to improve will help greatly, and if someone wants to say what colours for the car would be good. Thank-You http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/6969/golfys5.jpg And as always All comments welcome (as long as they follow the rules) <Andrej> i-is-in-da-house 02-10-2007, 12:56 AM I added the back rim. Common people, where are the comments!! wagonguy 02-10-2007, 01:06 AM i think it looks really good homie,, for the color i would go with like black or silver or something? knightvision 02-10-2007, 04:16 AM http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/2776/golfgtihintstz7.jpg (http://imageshack.us) It's a very nice drawing. You're getting better with each piece. There are only some minor issues: Watch out for the left vanishing point. taking the bumper and the grille as a reference, the top windshield + roof lines are out of perspective. also, the wheels ellipses are opened too far. The co drivers front wheel should be placed more outside, I guess. The track looks a bit narrow. I hope you color this one, it's very nice!! i-is-in-da-house 02-10-2007, 01:03 PM Thanks for the advice and diagram. It made my errors seem more clear. - I've just added rims and they are the same as the rims on my honda civic that i did on the computer. I will post a picture soon! And I think i wil go with black and white etc. sketchmaster 02-10-2007, 02:18 PM Wery nice drawing dude ...!! I really like the golf 2 gti in real life too ... I have drew a golf too ..... it's somwhere in the forum i-is-in-da-house 02-10-2007, 02:30 PM Thanks man! i-is-in-da-house 02-10-2007, 02:43 PM Here is the edited and "rimmed" version. http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/7360/golf2sb1.jpg I hope you like it! And I will colour it soon! stairweitoheaven 02-11-2007, 07:30 PM laydown some grid first then start draw boxes then add on the little things. i-is-in-da-house 02-12-2007, 08:54 AM Yeah, that is a good idea... What do you think about the rimmed version! i-is-in-da-house 02-12-2007, 07:01 PM people, comment... I know you wannna! stairweitoheaven 02-12-2007, 08:29 PM look closer on the perspective on the rims. do they look right to you? take a picture of a rim and look at it from different perspective, so you can see how the rim looks like from different angle i-is-in-da-house 02-12-2007, 09:53 PM Yeah, the back tire is off, the front is purpasly turned. pac4life 02-13-2007, 11:43 PM Looks pretty mean. Like you said, the back tire is a bit off, but pretty damn good anyways. Keep it gangsta. i-is-in-da-house 02-14-2007, 12:21 AM Streight UP! xpeed 02-14-2007, 01:52 AM It looks good, kinda toony. It's great for a toony drawing, but if it's not, the perspective needs some touching. Overall it's great. Keep it up. Also, think about drawing one perspective, two perspective drawings. There's always a VP so think about that while you draw. i-is-in-da-house 02-14-2007, 08:51 AM think about drawing one perspective, two perspective drawings. There's always a VP so think about that while you draw. Thanks for the comment but I dont get what you wanted to say in the quote above. And again, thanks for comming to this thread to help me out. i-is-in-da-house 03-09-2007, 09:35 PM Here is my color starting to go on.. (note. that is scaner color, not lead) http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7403/golf3oh6.jpg (i know there are some problems with the rear wheel, but its a fun project, and after adding the rims, i dont know if i should mess with it. The perspective is a bit off, but then again, this in like my third car for this site to c&c. Please check back to this tread to see if i made updates to the car. :) ) And can anyone help me with the reflections, (you see buildings and palm trees on the car (front and side windows) ) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
