I dont think you can just swap it. The s/c riv's has different PCM's and the fueling tables and such are all different. The NA motors also run higher compression.

probably and electrical nightmare, find another 95 S/C motor.

The changeover to NA 3800 would be more hassle than it's worth.

Where are you located? A friend of mine is parting out 2 - 95 Rivs and I know where a 3rd good engine is.

I'm in Binghamton, NY 13901.

BTW.....is it just the bottom end of the engine that's bad? I could give you a quote on the whole engine or basic long block. Thanks

Scott

Last time I talked to him, he still had them both.

I'll see if I can find out more specifics.

I know at least one of them is a higher mileage engine. At the very least, they are complete and would be excellent cores to rebuild.

Thanks Scott. My '95 has only 96k, but a rebuild would be more expensive than a swap. Will any other year fit the '95 s/c?

If you were just looking for a SC, you could also get a 94 SCer.

The 92-93 are paired together, then the 94-95.

For a bit more performance on the 94-95, you can get the smaller pulley from a 92-93 to get more boost.

Scott. you're great. But '95 scers are scarce..moreso '94s. Will any non sc's fit? I love this car and really don't want to lose it. Next step would be saying goodbye. Almost new inside & out.

one you the sc 3.8 has a lower intake manifold especially for the supercharger to bolt up the lower blocks are the same iirc. the sc 3.8 has a different PROM than the non sc 3.8's do.
