TerminalVelocity 09-30-2002, 11:43 PM ~:OMiKRon:~ student_anonymous 10-01-2002, 01:18 PM These guys are great, hahaha! how to launch....my advice is to rev it up to 2500 rpm, and when the light turns green, pop the clutch and let it go. don't floor it off the start though, let the tires squack and then floor it and do your thing, otherwise your tires will turn and ruin the clutch. doing it this way allows for the best possible launch and is easiest on your machine. :alien: TerminalVelocity 10-01-2002, 05:00 PM to be serous, I do think that is the best way to launch it. Hey TMUMMY! It really does depend on what type of car you've got. Subaru XT is different than Subaru WRX, and Honda, etc... Please tell us what type of car it is and maybe I can help out a little. student_anonymous 10-03-2002, 10:38 AM DMC that's a good point. As for the comedy fest going on up above......... I respect the Froggy myself........:frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: AHHH they're multiplying Sorry guys, not enough sleep. :frog: DMC12 10-03-2002, 06:07 PM Launching any car is hard on the clutch, transmission, engine, differential/transaxle, tires, CV joints, etc... So basically what it boils down to is: if you don't want the wear, then don't launch. Sorry but its true:crying: P.S.- http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/grin34.gifhttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/grin34.gifhttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/grin34.gifhttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/grin34.gifhttp://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/grin34.gif TMUMMY 10-05-2002, 12:21 PM eclipse gs-t not awd 1996 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
