Well Colorado isnt that bad but i can see your point of view living in Grand Juction. I live in Elizabeth. its a small town just east of castle rock. Do you know of any good street shops in denver or sarounding areas?

Nxtyoung- i live in parker, but go to school in boulder. don't you just love those damn douglas county cops. the only place i've been hit by laser is in parker (3 or 4 times). they're always out.

their are a couple of places that i know about here in denver. they're asylum motorsports which is off I-25 by downtown someplace (i think), paragon tuning on havana around mississippi on the east side, some place on evans that i forgot the name to. their's also import parts plus in coronado (SE corner, by 4 corners). their is a lot of places in colorado springs, but i don't know how they are.

i don't know of a good racing scene here in denver. my friend that has a 300zx was racing this guy on a motorcycle and the guy told him to go to some cosco that night for some races. we never went b/c we were busy. so i know that their is a racing scene, but i don't know details.

Thank you very much for the tips. I hear you about the DC cops. I was on I-25 going from Castle Rock to Denver and was have my self a good time crusin between 90 and 95 when i got taged coming around the corner. i have sense been nailed Two more times but luckly I only got the tickit for the time on I-25. The time on I-25 was also the first time i had been polled over. I think they have me on a list now.

Me and my girl friend (now wife) were cruzzin down I-70 playin around with this red porsh(spell). It was a phat car we were passin through Castle Rock and on the over pass was a local cop the porsh(sp) saw him and slowed down I did not so i kept cruzzin at about 115mph ( remember this i was drivin my at the time new 1998 Dodge Dakota witch cut at 118-119mph) So that was pretty fast and the cop decided to presue(sp) me as he headed down the off ramp my the time he got to the bottom to merge he could not get on I-70 cuz of the traffic behind me so radio'd to the state partol before I made it to Glenwood like 2 minutes out side of Glenwood this undercover state patrol rolled right up on my ass i did not see him just the top of his car and thoes damn RED and BLUE lights I was trippin out I knew they could throw me in Jail I was 19, I was sure I was fucked.I pulled over cuz i know i wont out run him so he walks up to my truck and asks me whats my hurry I told him something along the lines of to Glenwood to see a friend (stupted and wrong answer). He lol at me I was allmost in tears as he said I could put u in jail u know i told him yes went to his car and ran all my info!!! Got back and gave me a total of 22 points. Damn 22pts what the hell I will never drive agine how do u get a 22 pt ticket i asked him he said it could be worse. Here is where it all adds up 115 in a 65mph zone=50mph over posted,reckless drivving cuz of the speed,endagerment to my passanger (did not know they made a ticket for that!).. So I was ready to go i was tripped out... Well then 3 weeks later i had to goto court in Rifle!! So I got their thinking that i will never drive agine and the DA sat me down and looked at my record and said the only ticket u got is for a u turn were it is prohibited when u were in H.S. And she noticed the truck I own and said let me see what i can do she defered it down to 95 in a 65 and took off the other chareges and it ended up as a 5pt ticket i was stocked as hell Im gonna be drivving agine (they suspended my license till court) So i ended up in court and holly hell the judge was a prick he looked at me and said in front of every one I dont know what u did to the DA (pay her off???) And told me drivving was not a video game and fined me $300 cuz that was the max that he could ask for!!!!! And now i speed but safely I got a PHAZER..............

Phazer's not going to help. i've read numerous accounts about phazers not working. the best prevention measure, besides not speeding (yeah, right) is a valentine one. problem is they cost 4 big ones, and you can't find them cheaper. yeah, on ebay you can find them,but they're still around $350. even with a V1 you can still have no warning for things like laser and instant on KA band. bottom line, you just gotta keep your eyes open and watch other drivers. when that porsche slowed down you should've recognized that and slowed down. but i know it isn't always easy to do things like this, it's just something you gotta get used to.

we are soon going to put co on the national scene. We are working with a young company in japan called HPI. Their owner is one of the founders of trust/greddy. Setting up everything to start selling hpi in the states in late aug/ sept. Should have ads in super street and turbo sept/ oct. Going to open a shop sometime in dec/jan in colo. spgs. called Joule usa. It is an extension of speed shop from japan. Bringing back a r32 GTR , jspec fd and a strawberry face 180. Going to have the 180 at the fall idrc event at bandimere. This is a little early but I saw this thread and couldn't help but to post. We will have a japanese tuner come over every few months and tune. Also be one of two shops in the u.s, to tune the HKS Fcon V pro. Check out hpi's site at http://www.hpi.co.jp
