96 3.1L Engine noise

I`m getting a rattleing noise similar to a pop can getting stuck in a bike wheel. It happens in low RPM`s it starts at about 1500 then stops right at 2000 when accelerating. If i put it into first gear, thats all you hear is that when driving. Any ideas?

Exhaust... Cat converter shield loose?
