Drivers side power window

Drivers side power window goes up "crooked". The front of the window tips down, sometimes so severely that the window will stop going up. If I grab it and pull the front up it will proceed to go up, but not all the way. There is a small gap which creates a lot of wind noise and some draft.
Van is a '98 with 88,000 miles. Anybody torn their door apart? I'm a little hesitant but can't stand the thought of bringing it in for this...
Could it be a simple as worn plastic rollers or just plain off the track?
Any help appreciated!

Before you tear the door panel off, first try spraying silicone on the felt tracks in the small vertical track in at the front on the window, as well as the large track at the back of the window. Try and use the red tube adapter on the spray so that you can limit the spray to only the felt. Help the window go up the track properly using your hands or a second person. After a few up and downs, wipe off any excess lube from your window but not from the track (it will take care of itself). I did not believe this tip until it worked on my 97' when it was at about 130k and the window up and down speed was also slowing down from this interference. Of course the dealer wanted to replace both my toggle switch and motor until I wrrote to AF. For at least a year now, it speeds up and down without hesitation or cocking back or forth. Definitely use spray silicone vs WD-40 which will dry out. Please let us know if this proposed solution works or not. Then we can walk you through the next step.

I have a 97 Chevrolet Venture that I just had the transmission rebuilt on and it has this weird jerk and sometimes the engine will rev, but the vehicle will not accelerate for a few seconds. the temperature needle also seems to fluctuate alot although there is plenty of fluid and the coolant light comes on and off. Anybody have any ideas?

Take the Venture back to the tranny rebuild place and have them diagnose/fix under warranty for free. What was the tranny problems before the rebuild? Hopefully it just needs the fluid topped off.

For the coolant light coming on and off you either have a leak in one of the hoses or intake manifold or the t-stat needs changing. I had similar symptoms in my 97 which turned out to be the right angle hose leaking under the t-stat housing. This of course was after I needed the intake and head gaskets replaced, t-stat and radiator replaced. If changing fluid, switch over to the green coolant vs. Death, I mean Dex-Cool orange. If your intake gasket has lasted this long, consider yourself lucky. Have a qualified mechanic check this out.

My Chevy Venture has the same problem. The arms that raise and lower the window is bent (who knows how?) and needs to be replaced. Suggest junkyard or auto repair shop.
