I have a 1998 Dodge Neon 110K. I found engine oil in the coolant system. I also noticed coolant coming out of the muffler. However there is completely no water in the engine oil.

Anyone knows what's wrong? Is it still safe to drive it for a while?

Thanks.

If you have oil in your coolant, then you probably have the infamous headgasket leak.

At 100,000 miles you should also have your timing belt, water pump and tensioner pulley changed ASAP.

I agree , the head gasket is probably blown . Usually the clylinder head needs to be resurfaced or replaced once it gets to the point of blowing coolant out the tailpipe . I would'nt drive it at all ! You will be looking at replacing the complete engine .
