terrible noise in brakes95montez34 01-24-2007, 06:36 PM i have a 95 monte z34 and im about ready to kick the brakes in, they make a very high pitched squeel when i brake, at first it was only after i had been driving for a while, but now its any time i get in, i just had the rotors done when i bought the car a few months ago, and i also put new pads on at the same time, im guessing this means some kind of grease that needs to be put on somewhere, but where do i look first, your help is much apreciated. richtazz 01-25-2007, 10:21 AM Sounds like the brake pads are glazed. Did you buy Cheapo A-Z/Advance branded brake pads? corning_d3 01-29-2007, 11:06 PM I agree. Cheap pads are bad, mkay? If you want to try the grease(which should be done every time you replace the pads) remove the inner pad and smear some brake grease($0.99 at O'reilly's) on the back side of the pad where it contacts the brake piston. Use the remainder of the grease to lube all the brake slides/pins. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
