New to forumMustang_Amber 09-27-2002, 12:56 AM I just wanted to introduce myself I am new to the forum. I have a 1998 v6 supercharged mustang, and am from New Braunfels Texas (close to San Antonio). Anyways I just wanted to say HI. StangMan 09-27-2002, 01:22 AM I am new to forum also. I just got my 1995 mustang V6. I have planned to do some things that you have done to yours. I am going to go with a procharger P-1S supercharger. It has 11 psi, comes with its own oil pump, so no need to hook into your oil pan. I was wondering if you know how much HP yours has. And if you had any advice to give me before I start building my stang. I am going to have exhust done this week. Can't wait to hear it after a put on shorty headers and duals with flowmaster 2 chambers. Any words from some one who has done the same mods would be apreciated. DVSNCYNIKL 09-27-2002, 07:09 AM Welcome both of you to AF!:D We hope you enjoy your stay here as we are a cool bunch and have lots of information to share and fun to have.:D:D:D Mustang_Amber 09-27-2002, 09:36 AM Right now I am only pushing about 8 pounds of boost. If I add an MSD and a power tube (being installed Tuesday) I should be up to 10 to 12 pounds of boost Vortech said. I have added a set of 3:45 gears (had 3:73 but I drive a 100 miles a day so it killed me on gas so I dropped down) w/ t-lok. I have a 75mm mass and a 57 mm t-body, a custom burnt diablo performance chip, and true duals. I really can't tell you much except that you have a better year than I have. The 98s are weird and hard to work with. For sure you will need to add gears because the exhaust will take away from torque. StangMan 09-27-2002, 09:30 PM Have you ran the 1\4 since having all current mods done? If so what was your time\mph. I am trying to get an idea of how fast I can make this car. Besides heads, what is the difference between mine and yours. I have this dream of smoking V8s in my V6 and was wondering how easily I can accomplish this. I was under the impression that with a supercharger and a few things I would be passing them by. If not then maybe I should just get a GT and put a supercharger on it. I like the V6,but I'm tired of hearing people talk Sh*t on them. All the honda fans think their cars are so fast cause they can beat a stock V6 mustang. If I can't make this car beat a V8 then I wil just have to buy a V8. Mustang_Amber 09-28-2002, 01:37 AM Then I would buy a V-8.. Its not worth the time and money. Only reason why I spent the money is because by Jan the car will be paid off and I am swapping the engine and tranny, and my cousin is buying the v6 engine. Right now I can hang w/ stock gt's and stock 5.0s... Right now the best i can pull on the 1/4 is 14.9 w/ a reaction time of 1.3....The car is suppose to run at least a 14.6... Will be a little quicker by next week. StangMan 09-28-2002, 02:18 PM My car is paid off. I got it for really cheap. Thats why I was thinking of dropping some money on it. I really liked the idea of supercharging it, but if its not going to be very fast then forget it. I just figured that I already had such lttle money invested that It would be a great car to modify. I already have almost all parts picked out and ready to order. But Now I am thinking twice. If that is all the bettter your car is running, then I would rather just get a V8.:sun: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
