I am purchasing a 91 s-10 blazer 4 door. Everything in it is stock still, but I was wondering what modifications you would recommend. I am planning on a paint job, exhaust work and a new stereo, but I should still have around $700 to put into it. Any performance modifications you would recommend other than lifting? Thanks for any suggestions. I was working on a Silverado before with a 350 so my choices with a 4.3L seem a little limited. Feel free to email me any suggestions. tripplinger@hotmail.com

If you want a cheap mod go on ebay and buy a cold air intake kit. It will boost hp and gas mileage for about 40 bucks.

the 91 had the tbi, they dont make a cold air intake for it, but i have a 91 with the 4.3 in it and i have an edelbrock intake manifold, a holly throttle body, and a borla exhaust, and a 14" open air cleaner, it runs rather well, itll get up and go, however i still wanna run duals and put a mild street cam in it with a new valve train and possibly a port and polish on it, but jegs is probably your best bet for parts, they arent really to hard to find there.

i picked up my air cleaner at advanced auto parts, just get one with a 5" opening, or something like that close, i dont remember the fraction after, but it goes right on without any mods to anything, that and it makes it sound much better, although if you want me to get pics i can, i just dont know how to post them, so if you could inform me on how to do that i would be more than happy to do that for ya.
