I just bought my Dodge 3500 SLT Dually and it had only one key with it. I just bought a remote with the instructions on how to program the remote and nothing seems to work. I am thinking that it does not have a keyless system. Is there any way to find out besides going to the dealer.

You didn't mention the year, but I would think an SLT would have keyless. Call your dealer and give them the VIN. They can tell you if it has keyless or not in hopes of selling you a remote.

Also,
Some years, like the 99, you have to have 1 working remote to program other remotes. Otherwise the dealer has to program it with the scanner tool.

The different years have different programming procedures so you may have the procedure for a different year.
