Hello. I am considering buying a 98 4Runner that has 114,000 miles and wanted to get everyone's thoughts. I owned a 98 new for about 2 years before it was totalled in an accident. It was a great truck then, but I'm wondering how they're holding up over time.

The sticky threads are a big help on maintenance and repair, but would like the word of mouth from current owners. Anything I should look out for? Pros, Cons, etc?

Forget other people's experience with their trucks. Bring it to a qualified mechanic and have him tell you how that particular truck is holding up over time. It will be an extremely reliable vehicle if all the maintenance has been done - ask the current owner for receipts. If the maintenance has been neglected, then it will be in correspondingly poor shape. Without receipts, only a good mechanic can help you make a decision - That and a careful test drive.
