Just wondering what is the average city mpg on a 96 thunderbird lx non-sc. i feel like im pumpin more gas now than when i first bought the car in fall of 2006. i dont know if its gas prices or my driving habbits, or my car needs a tune up..last time i checked, i filled up on gas and got about 200 miles on before it went on "E" again? GOOD or BAD?:evillol:

Do you have a 3.8L V6 or a 4.6L V8?

I get between 220 to 240 miles to a tank in the city with my 4.6L V8.
About 12 to 15 MPG.

I usually get a little less in the winter because I let the car warm-up in the mornings before driving it.

Check http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ for infor on how to improve your gas mileage.
They also have a printable form for recording fuel purchases & calculating your MPG.

my 95 v8 used to get about 24 city and 27 hwy. and in the winter it is going to pull more gas because the car uses more juice when the heater is on then when the ac is on hope this helps at all.

Actually your car uses more gas running the A/C then it does running the heater. the only thing the car powers to run the heater is a fan and to open a valve to allow the engine coolant to flow into the coil. The A/C requires the actual engine to run the compressor as well as a fan and a few valves. The compressor takes quite a significant amount of energy to run it.
