I replaced the front rotors and pads on my 2000 caravan yesterday. So I don't know why the idiot light is on. I also bled the brakes, so I know the fluid level is ok. Any thoughts?

PS: Tried some good slotted rotors made in Germany and better pads. Supprisingly, it did not give the improvement I thought it would.

Whoops, my bad, the fluid level was a little bit low. Sorry about that!

You may have got lucky. There's a warning in my Chilton manual that you have to use a scanner tool when bleeding ABS brakes. I suspect it would set a code or turn or the light if you don't.

Rawtorque - Think that applies if you change an ABS component, suck the master cylinder dry or change the master cylinder. Bleeding air out of a caliper shouldn't be a problem without a scanner. I'm thinking that's because any air in the system from disconnecting a caliper is too far downstream from the MC or an ABS component to effect the ABS. Cheers!
