front end conversionBiGwiLLswiLLy 01-16-2007, 08:43 PM anyone ever seen or done a front end conversion on a 94 body style firebird with a 2000 front end poormillionaire2 01-16-2007, 09:07 PM Haven't seen one done on a firebird, but I have seen a couple camaros like that. Considering that both cars are very similar, I'm sure it could be done. Probably the same way that the early camaro was converted to the later camaro. BiGwiLLswiLLy 01-16-2007, 09:47 PM i was thinking the same thing about the camaro FormulaLT1 01-18-2007, 08:05 PM Everything will bolt right up a long as you use the same fenders, bumper, headlight covers and hood. BiGwiLLswiLLy 01-18-2007, 09:32 PM yea, i figured but i think i need the sideskirts and the trim on the door Stealthy-One 01-19-2007, 07:55 AM heck with Money, a Cutting Torch, and welder, ANYTHING will fit ANYWHERE! :) scoobytuff 01-19-2007, 09:13 AM Find a rear ended car in a wrecking yard. Should be everything you need. You might even be able to buy the whole car pretty cheap. Then you could sell the stuff that came off of the front of your car. BiGwiLLswiLLy 01-19-2007, 05:37 PM well my idea was to get 1 from the junk yard korndogg 01-19-2007, 05:53 PM heck with Money, a Cutting Torch, and welder, ANYTHING will fit ANYWHERE! :) wont happen much anymore. Cant weld plastic lol. poormillionaire2 01-19-2007, 06:02 PM Gorilla glue and duct tape are nice adhesives though. FormulaLT1 01-19-2007, 09:49 PM wont happen much anymore. I agree on it not being necessary. korndogg 01-19-2007, 10:19 PM lol i knew someone was going to post that. that doesnt count as welding for flippin sake. Im a welder and thats just a disgrace to call that a welder lol. twistedtech 01-20-2007, 01:36 AM With the chemicals of today plastic and glues are stronger tham the old metal welding.Yes you can weld plastic. 2.2 Straight six 01-20-2007, 01:48 AM Yes you can weld plastic. you certainly can. downstairs i have two bottles of stuff called Plastic Weld. basically, it melts the plastic together. korndogg 01-20-2007, 02:20 PM With the chemicals of today plastic and glues are stronger tham the old metal welding. if its so strong then I guess my job is going to be obsolete in the next couple years. Id like to see a steam pipe built out of plastic rated at 3000 PSI since its stronger than metal welding. 92zcamaroperson 01-21-2007, 09:44 AM yeah.........i dont think you have anything to worry about korndog lol back to the topic! hood, fenders, doors, front clip and you got it vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
