full time 4lowrobertjeep4x4 01-15-2007, 11:55 PM i just bout a 1990 cherokee and the 4low is part time dose eny body know a way to make it full time, realy dont wont to change the transfer case. but bout the jeep for wheelin so i need 4low to be full time AlohaBra 01-16-2007, 12:53 PM The terms part-time and full-time can be misleading. They are two transfer cases designs and they refer to driving in four wheel drive while on pavement. Both transfer cases are "full-time" while in four wheel drive LO range. This range is normally only used in more extreme 'wheeling' situations. Look here for an explanation of the 'Command-Trac' (part-time system): http://www.jeep.com/en/wranglers/capability.html?feature=engine fredjacksonsan 01-16-2007, 04:58 PM It can be a little confusing. "Part Time" should only be used part time, like when you're offroad. "Full Time" can be used all the time, regardless of where you are. robertjeep4x4 01-16-2007, 06:41 PM i see thank you for your input. it was my brother who was driving it, he told me it was part time, i got a little bumbed but what you said makes sence it will be put to the test on saterday. im gonna wheel the shit out of it. thanks again vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
