Ok so recently my car (95 civic ex) has started to have shaky idle rpms (randomly drops 100 or so rpms then goes back up). I took it somewhere and they said it was the air control valve and that they cleaned it. It's back doing the same thing again. Is there anything else that could be causing this? It also is does the same thing between 50 and 60 mph.

when it happens in the 50-60 area are you loosing a noticable amount of power? When was the last time you did a tune up (plugs, wires, cap, air filter ect)?

So it did go away when they cleaned it? Maybe it just served its purpose and needs replaced?

Sometimes you can't just clean it out. I'm having the same problem with my 93 hatch with B18C swap and I replaced it once with a used IAC and it lasted 2 days before the problem returned. Turns out the car just wanted a brand new one. So what im trying to say is that cleaning out the IAC doesn't mean it's fixed, one the the valves in the IAC could still be ceased.

I was having the same problem with my 95 hatch, but at the same time, after cleaning it did stop for a while, but the cable was then needing to be adjusted. It has stopped for the time being (knock on wood) so maybe try adjusting your throttle cable. :) Good Luck
