2001 Deville - several problems

I inherited a 2001 Deville and here are some quirks about this car.

Traveling down the interstate, I set the cruise control and the car accelerates and decelerates back and forth (lurching). This is on dry, flat interstate. It makes my wife car sick so I don't use it.

The outside temp stays on 140 degrees (fahrenheit) I don't live in Death Valley either!

When I do have the heat on, I set the max temp at 90 degrees to get warm. If I roll it back to 89 it blows cool air.

When I start the car, if I immediately put it in drive, it won't go anywhere. If I wait a few seconds, we're good to go. (just curious as to why on this one!)

Any and all advice or phenomenom is appreciated!

Have the computer codes checked. That should tell you what is wrong with the cruise control.

The outside temp guage is probably bad. They usually will read an extreme temp when they are bad. They are very easy to change.

The climate control problem might also be revealed when you check the computers codes.

The last problem sounds like a transmission problem. I'd have a shop look at that one!
